Mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract and salt in a bowl to form a batter.
Place the cast-iron pan over the fire of The Bastard and let it get nice and hot. Melt butter in the pan, pass a slice of bread through the batter
and place it in the bubbling butter. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Repeat this with all the slices of bread.
Sprinkle the French toast with sugar. If it does not stick, butter the French toast first so that the sugar sticks to it. Grill
all the French toast directly on the grill for nice grill marks.
Serve with butter, jam and/or maple syrup.
