Temperature: 200 °C direct

What do you need?

500 grams of minced beef
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp chili powder
½ tsp salt and pepper
50 ml BBQ sauce, your choice

150 grams of grated cheese
200 grams of nachos
optional: 1 can of black beans

Additional toppings
1 tomato, in small cubes
1 avocado, in small cubes
1 red onion, in thin rings
sour cream, to taste
optional: fresh cilantro

Loaded Nachos from the Bastard

Preparation method

Heat your Bastard to a temperature of 180 °C immediately.

Sear the minced meat in a pan suitable for the barbecue. Does a lot of liquid come out of the minced meat? Drain it first before adding the BBQ sauce. Stir everything briefly and then remove the pan from the grill. 

Now heat your kamado to 200 °C indirectly.

Spread some minced meat over a cast iron pan or bowl. Place the nachos on top of this, then some minced meat again, possibly the black beans and finally spread the grated cheese on top. Put the pan or bowl back on your Bastard and close the lid. Let this stand until the cheese has melted. This may take about 5 minutes.

If you want to make this dish extra tasty, you can also choose some extra toppings over the loaded nachos after the cheese has melted. Have a drink and enjoy!
