Sweet Drunken Steak
Type of dish: Beef
Number of persons: 4

Pater Moeskroen already sang it with conviction: 'Whisky is the devil, but it's good'. So you can't go wrong with a juicy steak. Of course, you can cook it on the grill, but by cooking it in a cast-iron pan, you retain all the juices and so give it even more flavour.

Make a marinade of the bastard sugar, whiskey and pepper in a large bowl. Add the steaks and rub them well with the marinade. Put the steaks in a bag with all the marinade and place in the fridge for about 1.5 hours. Place the steaks (indirectly) on The Bastard for about 30 minutes. Grill them to a core temperature of 55°C. Let them rest on a cutting board for about 10 minutes and then cut them into strips!
