What do you need?
16 sardines, stomach cavity cleaned
500 g green asparagus, ends cut off
2 tbsp olive oil + extra
1 tbsp capers
1 lemon, sliced
75 g purple olives, in oil
4 slices of sourdough bread
4 small steamed artichokes

With juicy sardines, crisp green asparagus and flavorful additions such as capers, lemon and olives, you are sure to enjoy this combination of flavors. Prepare the sardines and asparagus on the grill and serve with steamed artichokes and sourdough bread for a complete meal. 500 g green asparagus, ends cut off
2 tbsp olive oil + extra

Light the Bastard and wait until it reaches a temperature of 200°C.
Grease the sardines, on both sides with oil and grill them for 6 minutes on the hot grill of the Basterd. Turn them halfway through. During the last 4 minutes, add the asparagus.
Place the grilled asparagus on a serving platter. Pour the olive oil over them and spoon in the capers and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Serve the grilled sardines with the lemon slices, olives, some extra olive oil seasoned with salt flakes and freshly ground pepper, sourdough bread and the artichokes.
